CALIFORNIA – California University of Pennsylvania’s Government Agency Coordination Office is sponsoring a seminar on Pennsylvania’s DGS construction contracting programs from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 4 at the DoubleTree Hotel, Pittsburgh.
The Pennsylvania Department of General Services supervises, coordinates and oversees the design, bidding and construction of a wide range of state improvement projects. The Bureau of Small Business Opportunities, a bureau within the Department of General Services, assists small businesses and small diverse businesses, including minority business enterprises, women business enterprises, veteran business enterprises and service-disabled veteran business enterprises in competing for commonwealth contracting opportunities.
At this free seminar. Oslwen Anderson, Jr., construction liaison with the Bureau of Small Business Opportunities will discuss how to do business with the Commonwealth as a construction firm. Kathy Agostino, Mascaro Construction Co.’s Small & Disadvantaged Business Coordinator, will discuss how to subcontract with her company and the various state construction projects it has completed and are currently bidding with the commonwealth.
