Chamber and academy announce Employers of Excellence winners

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce and Work Certified Academy have announced the Employers of Excellence award recipients for 2013. The announcement was made to more than 200 chamber members who attended the chamber’s Breakfast Briefing Friday at the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe.
The award recipients included RPM Industries in the Small Employer category; Equipment & Controls, Inc. in the Medium Employer category; Washington & Jefferson College – Large Employer; and rose Plastic USA – Manufacturer, a new category added for this year.
The 2013 finalists included:
Small Category: Burleson LLP; Hawthorne Partners, Inc./Epcon Homes; and Southwest Medical Center.
Medium Category: Advanced Surgical Hospital; Align Networks; Community Bank; and IGS Industries, Inc.
Large Category: California University of Pennsylvania; Intermediate Unit 1; Monongahela Valley Hospital; and Range Resources
All companies that participated in the program received a comprehensive, customized report comparing their company’s information to the overall survey results. The report also listed the best practices being used in Washington County to enhance the employment experience, attract talented employees and retain a skilled workforce. This report was free to all companies who completed the survey.
