A major provider of flexible workspaces will be doing its duty in Southpointe II.
Regus, a Luxembourg-based multinational corporation, leased 14,000 square feet in Zenith Ridge 2, according to a news release from Burns & Scalo Real Estate Services, developer of the Cecil Township project.
Flexible work environments are gaining popularity. They give individuals options such as working at home, working while mobile or working in shared space. Regus’ operation in Southpointe will feature business lounges, offices and meeting rooms.
Zenith Ridge is a three-building, 500,000-square-foot office campus under construction in the mixed-use business and residential park. Buildings 1 and 2 are targeted to open this fall, with Zenith 3 work to begin in spring 2015.
Zenith 2 will have five stories, 150,000 square feet and be LEED certified. Regus will occupy the first floor. EQT Production, a national leader in natural gas production, will be on the second.
Kelley Hoover, leasing agent for Burns & Scalo, said in a prepared statement: “For several years, I have seen a large demand for shared office suites in Southpointe and Regus is now capturing that audience. Zenith Ridge is steps away from two hotels and the new Southpointe Town Center, the perfect location for any business.”
Professionally, Fred Terling shifted from political aide to PAC man.
“Fighting for clean water, clean air and corporate accountability isn’t just a Democrat or Republican issue. It impacts everybody,” he said in a news release Thursday announcing his appointment as executive director of the Pennsylvania Environmental Leadership Political Action Committee.
Terling, of McMurray, previously was a field organizer with the Democratic National Committee’s 50 State Partnership Program, campaign manager for former Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and a constituent services worker with the state House.
The PAC formed last October and is striving to forge alliances with state organizations, set up speaking engagements, increase awareness and raise funds for candidates and groups heading into the Nov. 4 general election.
“We intend to make sure elected officials who have the courage to stand up to the political propaganda machine of the energy industry have the resources they need to be heard by the people so they can make intelligent decisions on Election Day,” Terling said in the prepared statement.
