HARRISBURG – Revenue from table games play at the 12 Pennsylvania casinos was $63.8 million in November, remaining virtually unchanged from a year ago, according to a report released Monday by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
The PGCB said in a news release the amount represents an increase of just $34,000 in revenue from table games during November of this year compared to November 2013.
The monthly report, posted on the PGCB website, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, also shows $9,155,937 in tax revenue generated from table games last month.
As reported earlier this month, slot machine revenue fell 3.4 percent in November from $190 million in 2013 to $183.4 million this year. This led to a decrease of 2.6 percent in the combined revenue from slot machines and table games during November 2014 compared to last November.
Locally, The Meadows Casino in North Strabane Township, which had 81 tables in operation last month, saw table games revenue decline to $1,834,577 from $2,218,094 in November 2013, when 75 tables were used.
Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin at Farmington saw its table games revenue decline to $297,351 last month when 30 tables were used, from $474,502 in November of a year ago when 28 tables were in operation.
Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino saw table games revenue jump to $6,111,884 last month from $5,275,120 a year ago. The casino had 113 tables in action during both reporting periods.
