EQT Production has leased 30,000 square feet in the new Zenith Ridge office campus being developed by Burns & Scalo Real Estate Services in Southpointe II, Cecil Township.

Zenith Ridge is a 500,000 square foot, three-building project.

BSRES said in a news release that EQT, a national leader in natural gas production, will occupy the second floor of Zenith Ridge 2, a 150,000 square foot multi-tenant office building. Occupancy is scheduled for Jan. 1.

The announcement, made Tuesday, continues a trend of oil- and gas-related companies locating in Southpointe II. EQT will join Consol Energy, Range Resources, Noble Energy, Rice Energy, MarkWest and several others, as well as law firms Burleson and Bowles Rice that have a focus on energy.

“We are excited to have EQT enter Southpointe and are hopeful they will continue to expand along with their industry peers who are currently located in Southpointe,” said Kelley Hoover, BSRES leasing agent.

BSRES President Jim Scalo noted the Zenith Ridge project is within short walking distance to retail and restaurant attractions in the new Town Center development, as well as adjacent hotel amenities.

BSRES will welcome software developer Ansys Corp. to Zenith Ridge 1 in October, anticipates Sentric Corp.’s occupancy of Zenith Ridge 2 Nov. 1 and will commence construction of Zenith Ridge 3 in the spring of 2015.

“Demand exceeds supply,” stated Scalo.
