LongHorn Steakhouse set for Old Mill launch

LongHorn Steakhouse is primed for launch – and lunch – in the Old Mill.

There will be a grand opening and ribbon-cutting at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the burgeoning retail project off Route 19 in South Strabane Township. And, unlike many businesses that begin operations before the ceremonial opening, the local LongHorn actually will serve its first customers that day.

LongHorn Steakhouse, a casual dining chain, has more than 460 restaurants in 40 states. Orlando, Fla.-based Darden Restaurants Inc. owns and operates LongHorn as well as Olive Garden, another Old Mill dining chain.

Washington County native Heather Graytok is the managing partner of this LongHorn, which will have 6,196 square feet and seating for 240-plus, and is providing 80 to 100 jobs.

Hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

A McMurray firm made its mark in the world in 2013.

Signal Graphics, owned locally by Roy and Sunday Crumrine, received a Century Club Award, which goes annually to the company’s 100 top franchises in sales achievement. The firm has more than 500 locations across the globe.

Signal provides printing and marketing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.

“Roy and Sandy have not only achieved growth for their business, they have done it by helping their customers grow and succeed with their marketing objectives,” said Richard Lowe, president and chief operating officer of Franchise Services Inc., parent of Signal Graphics.

A donation from the JEN Fund will benefit Washington Health System and some its patients.

WHS received gift cards to Giant Eagle and BP totaling $2,000, The fund, based in Clarksville, was started by the husband and two sons of a woman named Jen, who died of a rare form of cancer.

The cards will go to patients in need, through the WHS case management office.

Attorney Todd M. Pappasergi, a Ringgold High graduate, has joined the firm Bassi, Vreeland & Associates P.C., which has offices in Charleroi and Washington. He will specialize in areas of litigation such as general business litigation, personal injury and malpractice.
