Pennsylvania table games revenue increases 4.1 percent in October

HARRISBURG – Revenue from table games play at the 12 Pennsylvania casinos was just more than $63 million in October 2014, according to a report released Monday by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

The PGCB said in a news release the latest revenue figure represents a 4.1 percent increase in revenue from table games play during October of this year compared to October 2013.

The monthly report, posted on the board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, also shows $9,060,347 in tax revenue was generated from table games this October.

Locally, The Meadows Casino showed a decline in October table games revenue, falling from $2,765,436 in October 2013 when it had 75 tables in operation to $2,052,929 last month with 81 tables.

At Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino, table games revenue rose from $5,844,887 in October of a year ago to $5,864,438 last month, with 113 tables in use during both periods.

Revenue also was up at Lady Luck Casino at Nemacolin Woodlands in Farmington, moving from 456,970 a year ago to $516,612 last month, with 28 tables operating during both periods.

According to PGCB, overall gross gaming revenue from both slots and tables increased by 1.9 percent this October compared to October of 2013.

Revenue from all casino gaming was $254,189,697 this past month compared to $249,524,178 last October.
