Women in Natural Gas awards presented to 15 professionals

Fifteen were honored Oct. 16 at the second annual Women in Natural Gas awards, hosted by Shale Media Group. The event was at the Holiday Inn Monroeville.

The WING Awards go to women who are employed in the shale oil and gas industry, participate in community outreach and display other qualities. The winners were:

Katherine Fredriksen (Consol Energy), Karen Hubbard (Baker Hughes), Jolena Koneski Dye (Hartman & Hartman Constructors), Tara Meek (Williams), Christina Toras (California University of Pennsylvania), Kimberly Urcho (Rice Energy), Natalie Brown (MPR Supply Chain Solutions), Janice Lobdell (Cabot Oil & Gas), Amy Dugan (Eclipse Resources), Stephanie Skeen (Davis Law Group), Laura Lawrence (CBRE), Pam Blaker (Direct Results), Melissa Pagen (Greenhunter Resources), Megan Cook (Mustang Oilfield Services) and Erin Springer (EQT).

For the fourth consecutive year, Washington Health System received the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award.

The honor is for implementing specific measures in the treatment of stroke patients, as outlined by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The intent is to speed recovery and reduce death and disability.

Fire departments from nine Southwestern Pennsylvania counties participated in the fourth annual Columbia Gas Safety School earlier this year.

More than 30 units from Washington, Greene, Allegheny, Butler, Beaver, Lawrence, Venango, Clarion and Fayette counties were involved and shared in a $30,000 donation for equipment from Columbia Pipeline Group and Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania.

The departments received checks Tuesday and Wednesday.

Alex Goetz joined the facilities management team with Burns & Scalo Real Estate Services Inc. He will oversee Zenith Ridge II buildings at Southpointe II.

Dina Bayer of Washington recently received ViaQuest Home Health Service’s Michael M. Levenson Founders Award for leadership. She heads ViaQuest’s Pittsburgh office.
