Hobby Lobby will soon decorate the Old Mill landscape.

The national retailer has scheduled a ribbon cutting and grand opening for 9 a.m. Oct. 6. The South Strabane Township store will be the company’s 10th in the state, and second in Southwestern Pennsylvania, The other is in Robinson Township. Hobby Lobby has about 600 stores nationwide.

Bryan Lyerly will manage the 55,000-square-foot store.

Hobby Lobby is a privately held retail chain headquartered in Oklahoma City. The company said in a news release it has “more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products.”

Departments include floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies.

Hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. All stores are closed Sunday.
