Highway Equipment acquires Scott-Gallaher

PITTSBURGH – Highway Equipment said Wednesday it acquired Scott-Gallaher of Roanoke, Va., and integrated the Scott-Gallaher team into Highway Equipment Co. Mid-Atlantic.

The company, founded in 1933 in Zelienople, said in a news release the acquisition allows it to provide sales, rentals, parts and service of machinery and equipment for the construction, demolition, oil and gas, mining, quarrying, logging and other industries throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and Mid-Atlantic region.

Scott-Gallaher, founded in 1984, conducts business throughout Virginia, the Carolinas and Tennessee and will continue existing operations as Highway Equipment Company Mid-Atlantic. Ron Scott Jr. will lead the team as sales and operations manager for Highway.
