MONACA – Community College of Beaver College said Thursday it will offer associate degree programs at its Southpointe location.
The Monaca-based college said in a news release that, building upon its experience working with Washington County employers to train their workforce, it will offer degree and certificate programs in accounting, business administration, human resources, medical administration and police technology.
“We are now offering degrees that lead to careers or transfer to our partnering four-year institutions toward bachelor’s degrees,” said Dr. Melissa Denardo, vice president for academic affairs/provost. “As a result, we can provide an economical means for Washington County residents to take courses close to home that will lead to certificates, associate degrees, and, through partnerships, bachelor’s and graduate degrees.”
CCBC Southpointe course offerings include: two-year degree programs for those who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities and complete a bachelor’s degree; career and occupational programs that can be finished in one or two years and prepare students for entry into the workforce or allow working adults to expand their skills; short-term, noncredit programs focusing on career skills development in response to the needs of employers across the region; and community education offerings that provide personal enrichment courses and lifelong learning opportunities.
The site also offers customized training for area employers and onsite noncredit professional development classes.
