Gross revenue from table games play was up at casinos statewide last month, and way, way, way up at The Meadows.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board released its monthly report Monday, showing the 12 gaming sites generated $63.9 million in revenue in February, an 11.8 percent increase from $57.1 million in February 2014. Last month’s performance resulted in $9,215,810 in tax revenue for the commonwealth.
All but two of the casinos experienced an increase, with The Meadows realizing the largest leap – 65.2 percent. The North Strabane Township facility generated $2,867,761 in February, compared with $1,735,666 a year earlier. There were 81 tables in operation last month, 75 in February 2014.
Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin and Rivers Casino also did well. The Fayette County site had $504,667 in revenue last month, a 30 percent increase from $388,339, and Pittsburgh’s casino generated $6,292,536, a 22.6 percent rise from $5,131,330. Lady Luck was up one table last month, to 29; Rivers had 113 operating both Februarys.
February slot machine figures were reported earlier this month. Slots and table games, combined, resulted in $247,120,040 in revenue, a 3.7 percent increase from $238,326,952 the previous year.
