Pa. slots revenue down 4 percent in November
HARRISBURG — Slot machine revenue declined at each of Pennsylvania’s casinos with the exception of one in November, according to a report Friday from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
The PGCB said total slot machine revenue at the 12 casinos was $179,399,604, a 4 percent decline when compared to the $187,540,869 generated in November 2015.
Tax revenue in November of this year was $95,663,257.
All three casinos in Southwestern Pennsylvania, including The Meadows Casino in North Strabane Township reported declines in gross terminal revenue in November.
At The Meadows, November’s revenue of $16,929,802 was down 6.19 percent from $18,046,798 from November 2015.
At Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino, gross terminal revenue was down 9.46 percent, moving from 21,856,039 a year ago to $19,787,513 last month.
Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin in Farmington saw its revenue slide 7.85 percent from $2,366,776 in November 2015 to $2,180,970 last month.
According to PGCB, the average number of slot machines on a daily basis was 26,406 during November, compared to 26,229 at casinos in November 2015.
Only SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia reported a gain in November slots revenue, moving up 6.22 percent to $14,098,741 from the $13,272,920 reported a year ago.
