Drug, alcohol recovery clinic opens
Allied Addiction Recovery, LLC has opened an outpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility at 378 W. Chestnut St., Suite 106.
AAR is a Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs licensed abstinence-based drug and alcohol treatment provider with additional locations in Pittsburgh, Greensburg and Plum.
According to a press release, AAR is unique in that it is one of the few licensed outpatient treatment facilities offering medication-assisted treatment. Services include outpatient, intensive outpatient treatment and partial hospital program, as well as MAT using Suboxone (or equivalent)–a controlled medication used to treat opioid dependence through management of withdrawal symptoms and cravings associated with use of prescription pain medications, heroin and other opioids.

AAR currently accepts all BC/BS plans including Highmark, Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette and Cambria County Medicaid (VBH), Aetna, Cigna and self-pay clients.
It is locally owned and operated by Barney Seaton who has 27 years in the drug and alcohol treatment field.
