SBA plans workshop/craft show July 29 in Donora

The U.S, Small Business Administration’s Pittsburgh District office will have an workshop and craft show from 2 to 4 p.m. July 29 at 700 Meldon Ave., Donora.

Participants in the entrepreneurship workshop will be shown how to turn a hobby or craft into a small business. Kelly Hunt, director of the Pittsburgh office and a Centerville native, will discuss the process. Michelle DeHosse, owner of Sparkles by Shell in Monongahela, will talk about Etsy, an e-commerce website dealing in handmade and vintage items and supplies.

Connie Poland, chair of the Donora Senior Center Site Committee, hopes to learn how to sell on Etsy. She is Hunt’s mother and a longtime crafter with a number of followers interested in her jewelry, crocheted items, and floral wreaths and arrangements.
