Lydic Printing in Washington closes
Lydic Printing, a print shop that operated in Washington since the late 1930s, closed its operations.
Clarence Wood, 74, who ran the business for 25 years, said Thursday he closed the business because he wanted to retire.
According to Wood, the shop at 33 Springfield Ave., opened sometime around 1937, and was owned by several different people until he purchased it in 1991.
Lydic printed a variety of items, including the annual PONY League World Series program.
Wood said a letter was sent to all customers in advance of the closure.
