Dunkin’ Donuts opens Monday along Murtland Ave.
Dunkin’ Donuts should have a Christmas presence in each Strabane this year.
The South Strabane Township location, at the bottom of Murtland Avenue, will launch at 5 a.m. Monday. A number of activities are planned beginning at 9 a.m. A team of 35 to 40 is in training for the facility, which will be open from 5 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.
“We are excited to be serving more folks in Washington County, and Washington in particular,” said Anthony Braun, chief financial officer and chief operating officer for Heartland Restaurant Group, the Strip District-based franchisee for Dunkin’ in Southwestern Pennsylvania. That location is less than a half-mile from the Washington city line, and about 200 yards from a Donut Connection shop.
About four miles to the north, along Racetrack Road in North Strabane Township, a Dunkin’ store is targeted to open Dec. 12. It will be near the Primanti Bros. restaurant in the Street at the Meadows project.
That latter location would be the fourth Dunkin’ in the county, which until 18 months ago had been Dunkin’-less for years. The initial one launched in Canonsburg in May 2015, followed just two months ago by the restaurant on Route 19 in Peters Township.
Dunkin’ Donuts is based in Canton, Mass.
