Pa. table games revenue up nearly 4 pct. in July
HARRISBURG — Table games at the state’s 12 casinos saw a jump in the action in July, with revenue increasing nearly 4 percent, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Tuesday.
According to the PGCB, July 2017 table games revenue of $77,855,434 was an increase of 3.8 percent over July 2016 when revenue was $75,027,628.
The Meadows Casino in North Strabane Township was a big contributor to the statewide increase, where $3,762,922 was wagered in July, a 39.57 percent jump from the $2,696,061 the games generated in July of a year ago.
Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino saw a 2.86 year-over-year increase, moving to %5,626,840 in July.
Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, which took in $487,013 from table games, realized a 25.07 percent jump from the $389,379 it recorded in July 2016.
The PGCB said total tax revenue from table games play during July was $12,497,186 with an average of 1,241 tables in operation statewide each day.
When July’s table games revenue is combined with the earlier reported July slot machine revenue total, gaming revenue was down by less than $1.5 million, or 0.5 percent compared to July of last year, the gaming control board said.
For The Meadows, July’s total gaming revenue was $23,238,992, up 0.33 percent from the $23,162,103 it collected in July of a year ago.
