WAYNESBURG – ALDI stores said Tuesday it will reopen its Waynesburg store Oct. 25, following a remodeling project that is part of the company’s goal of remodeling its 36 stores in the Pittsburgh area by 2020.

The store at 210 Greene Plaza will open following a ribbon-cutting at 8:25 a.m.

ALDI said in a press release the store delivers on its customers’ desire for a modern and convenient shopping experience with a focus on fresh items, including more robust produce, dairy and bakery sections and more room for customers’ favorite products. Remodeled stores will also feature a modern design, open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials – such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting.
