CANONSBURG – A new Jimmy John’s sandwich shop at 1800 Main St. in Southpointe Town Center, is open for business.

“This will be our fifth store in the Pittsburgh area and our team is excited to serve fresh, fast and tasty sandwiches to a new set of customers in the area,” says owner Chris Petty.

Petty says he plans to hire about 25 employees at the Southpointe location.

Those interested in applying are asked to call 626-671-0495, or stop by the Southpointe store, which is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and fill out an application.

Founded in 1983 by Jimmy John Liautaud in Charleston, Ill., Jimmy John’s is one of the fastest growing franchises in the United States with more than 2,700 locations in 43 states.
