Blink, a marketing and advertising agency, announced in a news release recently that it had acquired Green Brain Design Factory, a website design, development and branding agency that services southwestern Pennsylvania.

Green Brain, which launched in 2013, designs and develops e-commerce sites for businesses, working with industry partners such as Google, Shopify, GoDaddy, and WordPress.

Green Brain founder Phil Pagliari said in a statement: “As we move forward as part of Blink, I am genuinely excited about the possibilities this collaboration will bring and the enhanced level of service that we will be able to offer all of our clients.”

Mark Dello Stritto, Blink co-owner and vice president of creative, said, “The acquisition of Green Brain Design Factory adds another dimension to an already talented creative team. Phil’s positive and client-focused attitude, as well as the skill sets he possesses, will allow Blink to offer superior design and development expertise throughout the state and beyond.”

Blink, which was founded in 2011, also has offices in Bellefonte, Centre County.

AHN

Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute recently unveiled its new, state-of-the-art Skin Cancer Center at West Penn Hospital.

AHN said in a news release that the center is “a first-in-the-region, full-body 3D imaging system that provides custom digital surveillance for skin abnormalities.”

The 9,000-square-foot facility, located in the Bloomfield neighborhood in Pittsburgh, enables dermatology and cancer patients to have one-stop access to AHN’s clinical and surgical options, along with leading-edge therapies and technologies.

AHN said the center also has the region’s only VECTRA WB360 Whole Body Imaging System, which provides “patient images by using 92 high-definition cameras and special flash lighting, generating a single 3-D avatar of the entire body.

“Digitized records of the patient’s skin allow clinicians to examine individual moles and lesions, and monitor changes in size, color and shape over time by comparing subsequent VECTRA imaging to the baseline avatar.”

Dr. Howard D. Edington, surgical oncologist and director of the center, said in a statement: “Dermatology and skin cancer medicine are visual fields – having better images means better care for our patients, and more timely detection of suspicious abnormalities. By combining artificial intelligence with the clinical expertise of our physicians, we can provide more thorough preventive care.”

Dr. David L. Bartlett, chair of the AHN Cancer Institute, said the center “is a true testament to Highmark Health’s Living Health promise,”

AHN said that, “According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, in the U.S., more than 9,500 people are diagnosed with skin cancer every day, and more than two people die of the disease every hour.”
