The “we” factor leads to success
With warmer spring weather coming, there’s bound to be more folks heading out-and-about around our great Borough of Canonsburg, which is a plus for our community and area businesses.
Along with this increase in activities, comes responsibility. We need to be more vigilant in how we drive, how we respect our fellow citizens and how we conduct ourselves. I use the word “we,” because without the help and cooperation of all of the citizens of the Borough of Canonsburg, we can never really reach our full potential or be called a true community.
It always comes down to how we treat each other, and how we respond to things that affect us. Recent tragic events have saddened us but have also brought us closer together. Much progress has been made, especially in terms of equipping our police force and public safety, but much still needs to be done to ensure the safety and security of our families, businesses, senior citizens, youth and any visitors to our community.
It is my strong belief that one of the most important qualities of being mayor is leadership. A mayor needs to be a good leader, one who can bring various groups and factions together for the greater good of the community.
So, as the mayor, it is my goal to ensure that all citizens of Canonsburg are provided with the very best quality of life, safety and prosperity that they deserve. So, let’s enjoy this springtime in the borough, and remain a community of respect, peace and prosperity.
