I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and looking forward to a great year. The weather is getting better, and our road projects that have been ongoing since last year will be completed soon, along with the paving of the streets that have been under construction.

Some additional items on Canonsburg Council’s list for this year:

We have three flood grant projects to complete to help alleviate flooding in the future.

We have 2018 Community Block Grant Development (CBGD) project monies for street and sidewalk improvements throughout the borough.

At the park:

The borough will be hiring a new pool director. Applications are available on the borough website or by calling the borough office at 724-745-1800.

The borough will also be hiring a concession stand manager or someone wanting to operate the concession stand on their own. Check the borough website or call the borough office at 724-745-1800.

A new roof is planned for part of the pool building.

Park pavilions are still available to rent this year.

Concerts in the park are being scheduled again for this year.

The park board and borough council are working together to make sure the park is open on time and offers enjoyment for residents of our community as well as neighbors. We appreciate all that our park board members and Friends of the Park do for us all.

Council action

Council approved the request from Canon-McMillan School District to allow 225 parking spaces for its stadium project.

Council approved sponsoring a paper-shredding event later this year.
