Budd Baer Subaru presents the 21st Annual Pennsylvania Bavarian Oktoberfest will take over the streets of Canonsburg Sept. 20-22. This year’s event will feature ethnic and authentic food, beer and live entertainment. It’s been hailed as one of the Top Ten Oktoberfests in the nation by aol.com, and more than 60,000 people are expected to attend over the course of three days. You don’t want to miss it!
5K Bunny Run
There’s still time to sign up for the Chamber’s First Annual 5K Bunny Run and Family Easter Walk, which takes place April 27. The race begins 8:30 a.m. at Canonsburg Hospital and ends at Sarris Candies. Prizes will be awarded to the top runners in each age group, as well as the top male and female runners – all runners will receive a T-shirt. Registration is $30 per person.
Vendor tables are also available for $25. Proceeds from the event will be used for the second annual Bunny Run and Family Fun Walk in 2020, as well as to help spotlight chamber members in the communities that the chamber serves. Sponsors include CentiMark, Sarris Candies, Allegheny Health Network (Canonsburg Hospital), Community Bank, HarborSide Services Web Development, Comfort Keepers, Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center, Jeffrey’s DrugStore and of course, the Chamber. Barre3 and Salud Express Juicery & Wellness Bar will also be on hand. To register, visit the Chamber’s Facebook page.
Canonsburg Farmers Market
Our Farmers Market is back. Every Tuesday from June 11-Sept. 24 from 3-7 p.m. the parking lot of the Masonic Hall (235 W. Pike St.) will be filled with local food and vendors. Already confirmed are Simmons Farm, Primrose Farm, Pennsylvania Dutch Foods, Kona Ice, The Olive Tap, Fabulous Homemade Cookies and more. New vendors and live entertainment each week are also part of the market.
