More than 125 Canon-McMillan High School seniors were recently awarded more than $6.5 million from colleges and universities, along with nearly $58,000 from independent scholarships at the annual scholarship banquet at the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe.

The Community Scholarship Foundation of Canon-McMillan awarded 82 scholarships totaling $80,750, including several for students entering vocational fields.

The Burnfield Memorial Scholarship, established in memory of Nathaniel Burnfield – who was killed while working as police officer – was retired this year, with Dillon O’Donoghue and Jordan Underwood the final recipients.
