The Village to hold annual purse bash
The 10th annual Village Shoe & Purse Bash will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 18 at Nemacolin Country Club, Beallsville.
Famous-maker shoes and handbags, including Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Tory Burch, will be given away every 15 minutes. Between drawings, guests will have the opportunity to purchase items from the vendors’ bazaar. Food also will be served, and there will be basket and silent auctions.
The Luck Be a Lady game, in which good things truly do come in small packages, will return, and a Versace black leather with New Zealand calfskin satchel tote will be the grand prize.
All proceeds benefit the Village, a nonprofit early childhood education center that provides care for children 6 weeks through 5 years old, as well as before- and after-school care. Single parents who are enrolled in full-time educational programs to improve the lives of their families also may be eligible for child-care scholarships.
