Washington High School fan bus will leave at 5:30 p.m. Friday for the Prexies’ football game at Charleroi High School. Those who plan to take the bus should arrive no later than 5:15. Cost is $5, and tickets can be purchased between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the athletic office in the junior high school office.

Mon Valley NAACP will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Members are required to attend the meeting to select a nominating committee to begin the process of selecting and electing officers and executive committee members. On Sept. 7, the NAACP will hold its first community forum at 6 p.m. at the Monessen Municipal Building, 1 Wendell Ramey Lane. David Hunter will serve as moderator. Voter registration help and forms will be available.

Washington Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Courthouse Square, Room 104. Larry Hankowitz will present a program on “Adventures in Infrared Photography and Exhibition Prints.”

St. Vincent de Paul will hold its 14th Harvest Festival and Gospel Sing at 10 a.m. Sept. 10. There will be free food and raffles. Proceeds will help support the emergency food pantry. Those who attend are asked to bring canned or boxed nonperishable food items.

Power of Music concert featuring Mark & the Wild Things will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sept. 11 at West Brownsville American Legion Post 340, 800 Middle St. The concert is free, but there will be food available for purchase, plus a Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle.

Clean Air Council and Protect Our Children will host a Washington County threat map training and monitoring program from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Sept. 14 at Citizens Library, 55 S. College St., Washington. Participants will learn about the oil and gas threat map and how to identify what zone they live in. They also will learn how to protect themselves from air pollution using monitoring techniques.
