Giles – McConnell
John and Bonnie McConnell of Avella announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay, to Colby Giles, son of Gary and Diane Giles of Carmichaels.
The late Irk and Frances McConnell and the late William and Helen McCormick Jr., are the future bride’s grandparents.
The future groom’s grandparents are Ed and Doe Giles of Fredericktown, the late Mary Lou Giles and the late Dean and Norma Sargent.
Lindsay is a 2004 graduate of Avella High School and a 2008 graduate of West Liberty State University. She earned a master’s degree in exercise science at University of Pittsburgh.
The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Carmichaels High School and a 2007 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, where he majored in English and biology and was a member of the football and baseball team. He is a foreman for Consol Energy BMX Mine.
A Sept. 21, 2013, wedding is planned.
