Finch – 80 years

Robert (Bob) Finch of Senecaville, Ohio, will celebrate his 80th birthday with a surprise open house for family and friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 22, at Claysville American Legion Post 639, Main Street. Cards only are requested.

Mr. Finch was born November 29, 1932, in Pittsburgh.

On June 5, 1953, he married his wife, Marlene.

His children are Jody (Dale) Mischke of Williston, N.D., Cindy (Andy) Beattie of Claysville, Scott (Marty) Finch of Prosperity, Toni (Steve) Kellar of Senecaville and Bobby (Jennifer) Finch of California, Ky.

He has eight grandchildren, Justin, Chad and Troy Beattie, Scott, Aaron, Jamie and Jonathan Finch and Kayla Kellar, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Finch served in the U.S. Navy as a flight mechanic from 1951 to 1954. He was owner and operator of Finch’s Exxon and Finch’s Amoco on Chestnut Street in Washington until his retirement.

Before retiring, he achieved a long-time goal of earning his private pilot’s license. He works part time at Cambridge (Ohio) Municipal Airport.

Mr. Finch enjoys reading, hunting and fishing with family and friends, peanut butter sandwiches and retirement at Seneca Lake, Ohio.
