Laipple – Hartzell
The main pavilion at Washington Park was the setting for the wedding of Kayla Jean Hartzell and Richard Scott Laipple, who were united in marriage August 18, 2012, with Pastor Jonathan Stokes officiating the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Tracey Hartzell of Triadelphia, W.Va., and the late Dennis Hartzell. Her grandparents are Linda Clovis, Norman Jean Hartzell and Janice Ullom, all of West Finley, the late Roy Clovis, the late Don Hartzell and the late Donnie Ullom.
Parents of the bridegroom are Ronald Laipple Sr. and Vicki and Wray White Sr., all of Washington. His grandparents are Ron and Dorothy Laipple and Kaye Stockdale, all of Washington, and the late Gale Stockdale.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Kyle Hartzell of Triadelphia.
Amanda Ewing of Claysville served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristin Hostinsky, Lori Thompson, Jana Ewing, Bethany Melvin, Jessica Laipple, sister of the groom, and Lauren White, sister of the groom. Flower girl was Eden Hertig of West Alexander.
Best man was Shad Hancher of Washington. Groomsmen were Wray White, brother of the groom, Shane Rishel, Ken Phillips and Jake Donahue. Charlie Bosang and Brody White, cousins of the groom, served as ushers. Ring bearer was Wyatt Rogers, cousin of the groom.
A reception was held at South Franklin social hall.
The new Mrs. Laipple is a 2006 graduate of McGuffey High School and a 2010 graduate of Penn Commercial. She is employed as a medical assistant at Washington OBGYN.
Mr. Laipple is a mechanic with the Air Force National Guard refueling unit in Robinson Township.
The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to Hawaii and make their home in Claysville.
