Watenpool – Kushner
Nicole Mary Kushner and Robert Kevin Watenpool were united in marriage July 21, 2012, in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Ambridge, with the Rev. Kevin Marks officiating the 2:30 p.m. ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, William Alan and Barbara Jean Kushner of Canonsburg. Her grandparents are Bill Kushner of Duquesne, the late Mary Kushner, Andrew Yalch of Greenfield and the late Mary Yalch. Parents of the bridegroom are Bob and Bettsy Watenpool of Ellwood City. His grandparents are the late Byron and Margaret Blackford and the late Robert and Norma Selemmer. Matron of honor was Becky Schaberg of Rocky Mount, N.C., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Kushner of Florida, sister-in-law of the bride, Deborah Ohemler, sister of the groom, Amber Gillespie, Christine Rinder, Katlyn Russell and Lori Jendrzejewski, all of Pennsylvania. Junior bridesmaid was Meghan Ohemler, niece of the groom. Best man was Adam Jordan of Baden. Groomsmen were Chris Kushner of Florida, brother of the bride; Bill Ohemler, brother-in-law of the groom, and Scott Lesko, both of Pennsylvania; Rob Kania of North Carolina; and Chris Carey and John Ohemler, both of Pennsylvania. Ring bearers were Luke Ohemler, nephew of the groom, and Ethan Kushner, nephew of the bride. Reader was Chris Kushner. Vocalists were the Byzantine Catholic Archeparchial choir directed by Darlene Fejka. A reception was held at Seven Oaks Country Club in Beaver. The bride is a 2000 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communication. She is employed at Enterprise. The groom is a 1991 graduate of North Allegheny High School and is employed at West Hills Nisson. The newlyweds plan to take a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, at a later date.
