Amy Hans and William Minor were united in marriage at 5 p.m. May 27, 2012, in Second Presbyterian Church (Ky.), with the bride’s father, the Rev. Daniel T. Hans officiating.
Her parents are Daniel and Elizabeth Hans of Lexington, Ky. Her grandparents are Ernest and Virginia Steadman of Essex, Mass., Dr. Clarence Hans of Greenwood, S.C., and the late Shirley Hans.
Parents of the bridegroom are Grant and Emily Minor of Washington. His grandparents are Mary Ann Johnson of Washington, the late Roger Johnson and the late Fran and Marcella Minor.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Lyric Lincoln of New York City. Bridesmaids were Jasmina Delic of Chicago, Kimberly Anderson of Crown Point, Ind., Christina Monley of Chicago, Camille Britton of Chicago and Krystle Kruger of Chicago.
Jimmy Minor of Chicago, twin brother of groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Minor of San Diego, brother of groom; Jeremy Barnyak of Charlotte, N.C., John Alden of Los Angeles, John Carr of Chicago and Matt Deemer of Greensburg.
Katie Minor of London, sister of groom, was the reader.
A reception was held at Lexington Country Club.
The bride attended Gettysburg High School and graduated from Denison University in 2008. Until recently, she worked in sales and marketing and as a fashion model in Chicago.
Her husband attended Trinity High School and graduated from Denison University in 2009. He earned a master’s degree in accountancy at the University of Illinois in 2010 and serves as a second lieutenant infantry command officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is stationed in Twenty-nine Palms, Calif.
The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to New York City and Cape Ann, Mass., and reside at the Twenty-nine Palms USMC base.
