Dille – 100 years
Walter Dille of Washington celebrated his 100th birthday during a gathering with family and friends at Concord Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Dille was born April 22, 1913, in Prosperity.
On February 21, 1979, he married his wife, Roberta.
Mr. Dille has two children, Gary (Linda) Dille of Washington and Penny (Richard) Cotton of Brunswick, Ga.
He has eight grandchildren, Bruce Dille, Danita Kearns, Bill Spell, Lee Spell and Shannon Spell, Jeff Clark, Danielle Almeida and Virginia Pace; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dille served in the U.S. Navy and was a jeweler until his retirement in 1978. He enjoys gardening, eating breakfast at Eat ‘n Park and going to church.
