LeMoyne Center to hold ‘Cookie’ roast

The second annual Community Roast for James “Cookie” McDonald will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 6 at the LeMoyne Community Center, 200 N. Forrest Ave., Washington.

McDonald is a businessman and mentor who credits the LeMoyne Center with helping to create positive changes in the community.

Sponsorships ranging from $50 to $5,000 are available. Donations will be matched by submitting an online sponsorship payment between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sept. 10 to http://www.wccfgives.org/ during the Washington County Community Foundation’s Day of Giving.

Those who make a donation of at least $35 that day will receive a free ticket to the roast. Those without Internet access can use the computers at the LeMoyne Community Center or WCCF.
