York – Pavlik
Jennifer Pavlik and Kevin York were united in marriage on July 13, 2013, at Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, Aliquippa, with the Rev. Kevin Neal officiating the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Pavlik of Burgettstown. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Pavlik and the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis McCutcheon.
Parents of the bridegroom are the Rev. and Mrs. James York of Washington. His grandparents are Wilma York of Rockhill, S.C., the late James York Sr., the Rev. Robert Casler of Washington and the late Betty Casler.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Kayla Seibel of Burgettstown, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Flower girl was Madison Pavlik, niece of the bride.
Best man was Tyler Campbell of Bradley, Ill. Usher was Michael Pavlik of Burgettstown, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Jacob York, brother of the groom.
Vocalist was Sherry Mercer of Georgetown.
A reception was held at Slovan VFW.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Burgettstown Junior/Senior High School; a 2007 graduate of Clarion University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in special education; and a 2011 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a master’s degree in early childhood education. She is a special education teacher with Intermediate Unit 1.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Portage Central High School in Michigan. He is an associate pastor at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, Washington, and is employed at Bill’s Furniture, Washington. He also is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in pastoral ministry from the Nazarene Bible College, Colorado Springs, Colo.
A honeymoon trip is planned for the fall.
