Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church and Lightwave International will present their sixth annual Christmas Laser Spectacular at 6 and 7:30 p.m. today and 6 p.m. Saturday in the sanctuary.

George Dodworth, a member of Canonsburg U.P. Church and president of Lightwave International, has presented laser demonstrations throughout the world, and his lighting effects have been featured in many celebrity concert tours, including Jay-Z, Tom Petty, Madonna, Pink Floyd, as well as in many television shows and movies. Most recently, Lightwave lasers were featured in Tom Cruise’s 2013 film, “Oblivion.”

All money donated at the shows will benefit local nonprofit organizations. Previously, money was given to Meals on Wheels, City Mission, Avis Arbor Women’s Shelter, Canonsburg-Houston Food Pantry, Family Promise and Washington County Habitat for Humanity.

Tickets can be purchased through a free-will donation and are available on the church’s website, www.canonsburgup.org, or can be picked up at the church office, 112 W. Pike St., until 4 p.m. today.
