Leah Chavla has graduated cum laude from American University’s Washington College of Law and passed the bar exam in New York. Her application for admission as an attorney is pending. She was editor of National Security Law Brief, staff writer for Human Rights Law brief and student attorney and member of International Human Rights Law Clinic. She is a consultant at the Rapporteurship on the Rights of Migrants at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Organization of American States in Washington D.C. She also worked as a legal fellow at the Center for Justice and International Law. She is a 2006 graduate of Trinity High School. Her parents are Munir and Terri Chavla of Washington.
