McGovern – Sams
James and Margaret Sams of Venetia announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Rebecca, to Jonathan Michael McGovern, son of Susan Woodward of Lancaster and John T. McGovern of Tampa, Fla. Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Marguerite Griffith of Wooster, Ohio, the late James E. Griffith and the late James and Rose Sams.
Grandparents of the future groom are Charles and Joan Cousar of Lancaster and Marilyn Burgy of Bradenton, Fla.
Hannah is a 2006 graduate of Peters Township High School and a graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a degree in viola performance. She is a second-year graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University, where she is studying arts management and nonprofit business administration.
Jonathan is a 2001 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School and a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned degrees in psychology and biology. He is a third-year student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
A May wedding is planned.
