Grants available for Canonsburg youth

BNY Mellon Wealth Management is accepting applications for grants from the Ernest Q. Johnson Trust, a fund established to support organizations providing activities for Canonsburg area youth.
Johnson, a Canonsburg native, established the fund to honor the memory of his parents, John G. and Annie K. M. Johnson, stipulating “income from the trust is to be distributed to such charitable, religious or educational organizations that promote the youth of Canonsburg and its immediate vicinity.”
Organizations must provide a proposal in letter form requesting money for a specific dollar amount for a special project or for general support, as well as their most recent financial statement and their IRS 501(c)3 tax determination letter.
