MVH offering blood analysis

Monongahela Valley Hospital will hold a Multiphasic Blood Analysis Screening from 7 to 10 a.m. March 23 in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center.
On each blood sample, 36 individual tests will be performed that can reveal anemia, lung disease, diabetes, leukemia, high cholesterol and blood disorders. Additional screenings, including Thyroid Stimulating Hormone and Prostatic Specific Antigen, also will be available for an additional cost.
The blood analysis is $25 per person. Testing is done by pre-registration and appointment only. Registration will be accepted until March 20 by calling 724-258-1282 between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participants are asked to provide the full name and complete address of the physician to whom their test results will be sent.
A 12-hour fasting period is required. Those on medication should consult their physicians. The procedure takes between 15 and 20 minutes. Light refreshments will be served after testing is completed.
