Wargo – Marquis
Announcement is made of the engagement of Katelyn Marquis and Nicholas Wargo, both of Avella.
The future bride’s parents are James and Frances Marquis of Avella. Her grandparents are the late T. Milton and Thelma Marquis and the late Alberta and Urson McKee Sr.
Her fiance’s parents are Randy and Diane Wargo of Avella. His grandparents are Lola and Charles Kugel of Avella, the late George Wargo Sr., Catherine Bertovich of Avella and the late Nicholas Bertovich.
Katelyn graduated from Avella Area Junior/Senior High School in 2008 and Slippery Rock University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is a substitute teacher.
Nicholas is a 2007 graduate of Burgettstown Junior/Senior High School and a 2011 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. He is a ticket operations assistant for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
An August 10 wedding is planned.
