World Day of Prayer 2013 community worship service will be held at 7 p.m. today at First Christian Church, 630 Chess St., Monongahela.

Women, men and children in more than 170 countries and regions will celebrate World Day of Prayer. World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical movement of many traditions who that come together to observe a common day of prayer the first Friday in March.

This year’s theme is “I Was a Stranger and You Welcomed Me.”
