Amanda Rae Kaste was named to the dean’s list for the second consecutive semester at Gettysburg College, where she is majoring in religious studies. She is a member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, the Gettysburg Bullets marching band and the Gettysburg College symphony band. Kaste is a 2012 graduate of Avella Area High School and is employed by JC Penney and Cross Creek Church. Her parents are James and Lorraine Kaste of Avella.
Timothy R. Johnson, son of Kelley Johnson of Claysville, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where he majored in biology. He was named to the dean’s list every semester and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Johnson also received the Dr. Meyer Bloom Award, which acknowledges a student’s promise for a successful career in the medical field. Johnson is a 2009 graduate of McGuffey High School and is employed as a clinical scientist with Antria Inc.
Megan N. Scott graduated from Bethany College, where she majored in biology with a minor in chemistry. She was named to the dean’s list several times and was a member of Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society. Scott is a 2008 graduate of McGuffey High School, and her parents are James and Debra Scott of Washington.
