Managing Your Diabetes will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 2-April 4 in the Education Conference Center at Monongahela Valley Hospital. The education series focuses on diabetes self-management and care. Registration deadline is today; call 724-258-1483.

McGuffey boys basketball boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday Room 101 at McGuffey High School. All parents of players in grades 7-12 are asked to attend. For more information, call 724-223-8527.

Mongahela Area Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the parlor room of First Presbyterian Church, Sixth and West Main streets, Mononghaela. Clay Kilgore, outreach coordinator for Washington County Historical Society, will speak.

Van Gogh’s Birthday, a preschool program, will be held April 2-3 at Mingo Creek County Park, Route 136, park office. Sessions begin at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. each day. The program will highlight Van Gogh’s painting of “Sunflowers.” Students will plant seeds and snack on them as well. There is a $2 fee per child. Reservations are required; call 724-228-6867.
