Evening of Poet Laureates will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, in Eberly Hall, Room 110, at California University of Pennsylvania. North Carolina’s poet laureate, Joseph Bathanthi, a former Cal U. student, will be among the guests.

Heritage Public Library board of trustees has changed its meeting date from May 8 to 6:30 p.m. May 14.

Advanced Carbohydrate Counting will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. May 29 in the Education Conference Center at Mon Valley Hospital. The class explains how to measure the upward drive each meal has on blood sugar and information on the glycemic index. Completion of the three-day Diabetes Self-Management Training is a prerequisite.
