Bentleyville Public Library will celebrate Pennsylvania’s One Book Every Young Child Campaign with a special story time at 5:30 p.m. today. The program highlights the importance of early literacy development in preschoolers and the role that adults have fostering that development. This year’s book selection is the picture book, “The Bus for Us,” written and illustrated by Suzanne Bloom. Each child will receive a free copy of the book while supplies last. Washington Art Association’s 55th annual spring show is on display through Saturday at Citizens Library in the public meeting room. This year’s judge is local artist Rich Celani, a WAA alumnus.

Bluebirds program will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Wildflower Reserve Interpretive Center at Raccoon Creek State Park. Scott Parry, the park’s Bluebird Trails coordinator, will discuss bluebird natural history, his experiences with monitoring the park’s Bluebird Trails and how to attract bluebirds to your backyard.
