Dave Lonich of Donora will read his short story, “Steel Town Shutdown,” from his latest Western, “Thunder Trail,” at the second annual Cash for Gold Tea Party at Monessen Public Library.

The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 24.

Margo Wilson will read from her recently published mystery novel, “The Main Ingredient,” and Milton Anderson, a Monessen native, will read from his new mystery, “Following Roscoe.” The authors will have copies of their books for sale and signing.

Those who attend will be able to exchange their unwanted silver and gold jewelry for cash. Kathy Uhar of All That Glitters in Perryopolis will donate a portion of her profits to the library. There also will be live music, and tea and cookies will be served.
