A soup and sandwich benefit dinner to benefit Ed Hanlin, who has brain cancer, will be held noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, Ohio. For more information, call 740-635-2472.

Washington Corps of the Salvation Army, 60 E. Maiden St., Washington, will hold its monthly rummage sale Tuesday. Doors open at 9 a.m., and the bag sale will begin at noon.

A rummage sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Fredericktown United Methodist Church.

Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church will hold a Christmas cookie sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, Route 50. There will also be a festival of trees and wreaths silent auction and vendor show. Lunch will be available.

Canton Township Senior Bingo will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 10 at Canton Township Recreation Hall, Jefferson Ave., Washington. Participants must live in Canton Township and be 55 or older. Prizes and lunch will be provided. To register, call 724-225-8990.
