Shook – Beatty

Smathers Beach, Key West, Fla., was the site for the wedding of E. Hope Beatty and Paul C. Shook, who were married August 16, 2013, with Patricia Brown officiating the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride’s parents are the late Tony and Virginia Tonkavich.

Parents of the bridegroom are Carol Shook of Washington and the late Paul Shook.

Matron of honor was Aleta E. Gregg of Washington, daughter of the bride. Linnaea Bongiorni of Burgettstown, daughter of the bride, was a bridesmaid. Flower girls were Elle and Eve Bongiorni, granddaughters of the bride.

Aaron Shook of Coal Center was the best man for his brother. Ushers were Mike Gregg of Washington and Chris Bongiorni of Burgettstown, sons-in-law of the bride. Tony Bongiorni, grandson of the bride, was ring bearer.

A guitarist provided the music for the ceremony.

A sunset dinner cruise was held aboard Party Cat boat.

The new Mrs. Shook is a graduate of California Area High School and California University of Pennsylvania. She is retired.

Mr. Shook is a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and is a master technician at Washington Ford.

The newlyweds will take a honeymoon trip at a later date. The couple make their home in Washington.
