Hospice and palliative care will be the topics of a free seminar from 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at Monongahela Valley Hospital.

Dr. Daniel A. Iracki, whose specialties include palliative care, internal medicine and pulmonary medicine, will discuss “Ethical Conversations Between Patients, Families and Physicians About Hospice: How and When to Have Them,” and Vickie Carolla, director of operations for Amedisys Home Health Care, will address “Myths, Facts and Tips for Hospice.” The panel also will include Father John Fiero of the True Vine Anglican Church and coordinator of the MVH on-call chaplains program.

A continental breakfast will be served, and free parking will be provided in the hospital’s parking garage. For reservations, call 724-258-1932.
